A Meditation

A Meditation

Sit amongst the world.
Anywhere will do.
It's not about the method.
It's not about the success or the failure.
It might feel right, or it might feel like agonizing hell.
But what's the difference anyway?
What makes one thing this and another thing that?
Ah, young flower.  The answer is perception.
The tangled web of a conscious mind seeking to make sense of something that already makes sense.
As it is.
Do not resist what comes.
Do not hope for what may not come.
Do not be fearful.
Find solace in letting go and glide along with the rest of the river fishes.

Breathe.
Always breathe.
This is the primal flow that resides within.
This is the rock that grounds you to the earth.
This is the life energy circulating through our bodies at every moment.
Listen to the flow.
Feel the flow.
Be grateful that you can experience such a thing.
It's magical and it happens.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Repeat.
Do this for a while.
And all the while remain aware.
Aware that this is happening and that it's cradling the gift of life in your arms.
Move your awareness to the mind and it's foreverstream of thoughts bouncing in all directions.
Be aware of them like passing clouds.
See them, understand them, feel them.
Then watch them disperse into the atmosphere to become new clouds.
This is how the clouds act -- it's ok.
There is peace here.
Believe it.
Realize it.
Live it.
Be free.
